don't talk morals to us
November 2nd 2006 23:06
Hello and good morning, how are you all today? Well its time for another interjection regarding how and why our women folk don't want to be talked to in regards to their moral levels of conduct. And what a fantastic topic, especially when it concerns the Ten Commandments. Well you all know about the Ten Commandments don't you? smile...well in case you don't know them I will add them shortly. It surprised me the other day, when this Islamic leader tried to tell our Womenfolk that their level of moral conduct-ability is not in good order, and of how our Ministers and everyone else from the top down is against having a look at our selves in these things. I wonder why that is? Well God does command all of us to take a good long look at ourselves every day before we even think of saying to anyone that our moral levels are quite high. When in fact our women folks moral level is quite low.
For example, many of our women folk walk around in very tight fitting clothes and tracky dacks and so on. Many of them wear even less than that, which show far too much of their anatomy around their groins and breasts than they should. And many of them would say, "Well its all in context of why I am wearing these clothes, I mean we have to get dressed for the sport we are doing right? And there is no real harm in wearing them down the street as well, is there?" So there you have it a so called end to that topic. But it is not. We don't allow our young daughters to be that way do we! and we don't allow our very young daughters to be dressed that way do we? So why is it that our women folk from about the age of ten think it is suddenly alright to be so scantly and rudely dressed? And it seems that even our younger daughters are being allowed to be so scantly and immodestly dressed as well. But why? What is a normal moral code of conduct to be, if it does not include immorality and modesty? And if we are all supposed to so self governing in these things, why was this Islamic Leader not allowed to speak up about it? Why is it, that many of our women folk don't want God and His Word in the Bible, to be their rules for modesty and morality? If not God's then who's? Morality is for all those who profess to be Christian! Is that a fact, Yes or No? what do you think? The Ten Commandments are only for those who profess to be Christian! is that a fact? Yes or No?
I wonder what our women folk would say to the passages in Scripture which relate to them in how they are supposed to be dressed and to whom they should be turning to for guidance and advice on such matters, like it says in Number chapter 30, in the Authorised King james Bible : And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded. If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth; And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her. And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, where with she bound her soul; And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her. But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her. And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath; And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her. Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void. But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them. But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity. These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house.
I wonder if our women folk are in the mood to laugh at the moment? But here are the Ten Commandments for your appraisal more than your approval: from Exodus Chapter 20:
1. And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
3.Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
5.Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
Or we might look at 1 Timothy chapter 2: 9-15.
9: In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10: But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11: Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13: For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14: And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15: Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
There may be many ways in which our women folk want to tell us and try to demand of every one of us, how they ought to dress and have their own level of modesty, and levels of morality and of modesty, but I can say from experience that these passages of scripture well mark the way for every woman and daughter that we have in our homes.
Plus there is the problem of how much cleavage our women ought to be revealing to every one around them, in the home and out side of the home: Plus how much of their legs up to their groins they should be revealing as well: But I guess that we (Christian Folk) would be told to mind our own business as well.
Then again in Proverbs chapter 30 it says:
1: The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2: Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3: I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4: Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
5: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6: Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
7: Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
10: Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.
11: There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
12: There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13: There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
14: There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
15: The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
16: The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
17: The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
18: There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
19: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
20: Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
21: For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear:
22: For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat;
23: For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
24: There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
25: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26: The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27: The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28: The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
29: There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:
30: A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;
31: A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
32: If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
33: Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.
and in chapter 31 it says:
1: The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him.
2: What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
3: Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
4: It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
5: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
6: Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
7: Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
8: Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
9: Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11: The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12: She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13: She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14: She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15: She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16: She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17: She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18: She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19: She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20: She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21: She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22: She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23: Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24: She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25: Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26: She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27: She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28: Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29: Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30: Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31: Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Yet again, if our women folk here in Australia are so moral and righteous, how come we have so many of them involved with Prostitution, Bikey gangs, drug dealing and using, having their pictures taken in their underwear for public displays in shop windows and in shops in general, and in magazines of all kinds, and working in sex shops which promote the use of all forms of ungodly immoral sexual products for personal and group use, and those wives which are very much in to " WIFE SWAPPING PARTIES" and those grand mothers and aunties who are in to nude yearly Calenders: and those who are into nudist clubs, and those who are in to nude bar waitressing and nude women mud wrestling, and nude table top and bar top dancing (in all types of public and private businesses), and how our daughters are having their school uniform dresses and skirt hemlines above the knee, and the various types of underwear our daughters and women folk wear - wearing underwear as if they are normal day clothes, wearing underwear that is deliberately see through and the "G" string type of nickers and the type of see through tops and skirts and dresses which allow anyone the possibility to see much more of their body, than is right and proper for them to do; and the type of nudity our women folk are allowing themselves to be seen in, in our television serials such as neighbours, and so on, and in the movies, and on T.V. Commercials, promoting all sorts of nudity and sexual apparatus as if such is right for them to be doing.
No, No, No, No, No! These things they must stop doing. As a sound Christian Man and Father, I can honestly say that the majority of our womenfolk and daughters are simply bloody rude and immoral and uncaring of themselves and of their role not only in our lives, but to the duty they have to themselves and to us all to keep themselves as modest and as moral as possible according to the Word of God.
Which to me says, that a good woman, especially a woman who professes to be godly in all of her daily affairs, needs to be very conversant with these types of passages of Scripture and be constantly putting them into her life, and to bring themselves away from such sinful wrong professions that are mentioned here, and the type of television, radio and movie roles they perform, before she can say, she is any kind of a godly modest moral woman.
But the most they can say for themselves these days is "DON'T TALK TO US ABOUT MORALS!" Now we know why!!!!! and this is no laughing matter.
Well folks lets here what you have to say on this most wonderful topic?
come on, I dare ya! ha,ha,ha.
in faith and good conscience, The Old Man.
I wonder what our women folk would say to the passages in Scripture which relate to them in how they are supposed to be dressed and to whom they should be turning to for guidance and advice on such matters, like it says in Number chapter 30, in the Authorised King james Bible : And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.

Also, I'd say that the human body is a work of art, and dressing it is also a work of art.
And finally, I think it's illogical to judge our society to that of a society that existed thousands of years ago.
